Candidates for PSA Executive 2025
utive

It has been my privilege to serve as your PSA General Secretary over the past eight years. Since 2016, the Rank & File team and I have proudly led our union through transformative milestones, including campaigning for a change of government.
As experienced campaigners, we’ve consistently delivered tangible results. Together, we’ve grown our union by thousands of members, amplifying our collective strength and improving working conditions across the board. This momentum has driven key wins: we eliminated the Wages Cap and reinstated the Industrial Relations Commission, giving us the power to fight for members and secure lasting, meaningful change. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our delegates, members and staff. With your tireless support, we’ve transformed the PSA into a strong, respected, and influential force—one that delivers real outcomes and leads the charge for positive change in workplaces across the state. Our journey is far from over. The Rank & File team is more determined than ever to continue fighting for your rights and improving your working lives. Together, we will keep building a stronger, united union for all.
VOTE 1 Rank & File—your team for progress and results!

Stewart Little - Public Service Association of NSW General Secretary

In 2021, I was honoured to become PSA President, following my service as Vice President since 2012 and Senior Vice President in 2016. Throughout these roles, my commitment to representing and fighting for our members has remained steadfast. I am a Senior Correctional Officer with over 36 years of experience in Corrective Services and have proudly served as a delegate and chair with the Prison Officers’ Vocational Branch (POVB) for over 28 years. Since 2016, the Rank & File team has worked tirelessly to rebuild our union into a powerful force, unafraid to stand up for what our members deserve. Through hard-fought campaigns, we’ve secured significant wins and earned the respect we’ve long deserved. Over the past four years, we’ve focused on restoring and growing our union, and we continue to build on that momentum. The next four years will require even greater determination as we face new challenges. Together, we’ll demonstrate the full strength of our membership and fight against any injustice that comes our way. That’s why I’m asking for your support to continue as your PSA President. My experience and passion will ensure I can best represent your needs. Vote No. 1 Rank & File!

Serving as PSA's Assistant General Secretary over the past eight years has been both an incredible privilege and a deeply rewarding experience. The past eight years have shown that when we campaign and fight for change, our members see real results. From securing pay increases, ceasing insecure employment, winning reclassifications and enterprise bargaining, these wins have delivered real benefits that make a difference in the lives of our membership. Under Rank & File leadership, we've built the PSA into the strong, effective union our members deserve. Today, we are more powerful than ever, growing in numbers and leveraging our collective strength to raise your profile and emphasise the critical services you provide to our communities. But there is still work to be done. Protecting our members’ jobs and working conditions remains our top priority, and we are committed to continuing this fight. Thats why I'm seeking your support to remain part of the leadership team driving our union forward. Your work matters. Your conditions matter. And the vital services you deliver to the community must be valued and protected. Vote No. 1 for the Rank & File team—together, we'll continue building a stronger, united future.

Juliette Sizer - PSA Senior Vice President
Bangalow Public School - Schools DC Chairperson

It has been a privilege to serve on the PSA executive as part of the Rank & File team, and I am keen to continue my work as Senior Vice President. I have been a Schools delegate for over 20 years, currently Chair of the Schools Departmental Committee, contributing to many wins, recently succeeding in gaining permanency for 8,000 of our members (a result of lobbying two different State Governments). Living and working on the North Coast, I’m sensitive to the needs of our regional members. Following the 2022 floods, I worked with the PSA executive to administer an Emergency Relief Fund, providing immediate assistance to those worst affected. I was instrumental in the PSA becoming a major sponsor of Stewart House, an organisation supporting disadvantaged children from across NSW and the ACT. I also arranged for a PSA advertisement, promoting the work of both the union and our members, to be screened during the television broadcast of the Schools Spectacular, an event viewed by millions, and I have supported the provision of new member services such as access to Osara Health. With much more work to be done and great plans for the future, please vote 1 Rank & File.

Shelley Odewahn - PSA Vice President
University of NSW - HERC President
In 2016, as part of the Rank & File team, I was elected to the PSA Central Council and CPSU NSW Branch Council, and since 2021, I have served as Vice President. With over 24 years in the higher education sector as a disability practitioner, I have been a dedicated PSA CPSU NSW delegate for 21 years. During this time, I have worked tirelessly with Stewart Little and the Rank & File team to drive meaningful change and secure significant wins for our members. I bring extensive experience in policy development, industrial relations, and employer negotiations. My work with PSA CPSU NSW has delivered major bargaining achievements, including domestic violence leave, 17% superannuation, and funding for Indigenous employment programs. Over the past four years, we have won key improvements such as superannuation on unpaid parental leave and reproductive leave in universities sector, setting a precedent for broader public sector wins. I am running for PSA Vice President because national system members need strong, experienced leadership. The Rank & File team has worked hard for these wins, and we must continue this drive to protect and advance workers’ rights. Vote No. 1 Rank & File.

Trina Leask
Service NSW - DC Delegate

For over 12 years, I have been a proud union member and currently serve as a Team Leader with Service NSW (SNSW) at the Newcastle Contact Centre. In recent months, I have worked closely with the Public Service Association (PSA) in response to Service NSW’s announcement of a Restructure Management Plan due to budget cuts. Collaborating with the PSA on SNSW matters has been both rewarding and motivating, strengthening my commitment to growing union membership and advocating for my colleagues.
Since becoming a delegate in 2017, I have been passionate about working alongside fellow delegates and the PSA team to ensure that our workplaces remain safe and our conditions protected. As a strong advocate for regional members, I believe it is critical that all workers have a voice and representation. Since 2016, Stewart Little and the Rank & File team have led the fight for our rights, securing better conditions and protections for members. Now, I am stepping forward as a candidate for Vice President of the PSA as part of the Rank & File team. I am committed to standing up for workers, strengthening our union, and ensuring every member is heard.
I ask for your support—Vote 1 Rank & File in this year’s PSA election.
