Keith Smith  Corrective Services NSW - POVB

With 23 years of service in Corrective Services NSW, I am proud to hold the position of Senior Correctional Officer and to be an active, dedicated member of the Public Service Association (PSA). Over my career, I have been a passionate and effective advocate for correctional officers, dedicating the past 20 years to serving as a delegate across various correctional centers. My journey has included working at Long Bay Correctional Centre, and I am currently stationed at Cessnock Correctional Centre. For the last three years, I have had the privilege of serving on the Prison Officers Vocational Branch Executive, first as Vice Chairperson and now as Chairperson.Advocating for the rights and conditions of correctional officers has been a cornerstone of my career. My dedication extends equally to all PSA members, and I am committed to demonstrating this through my continued leadership. As we approach the 2025 PSA election, I strongly believe in the strength of the rank-and-file team. Together, we can continue building a stronger union that effectively represents and supports all Public Sector members.I urge you to Vote 1 for Rank and File to ensure we maintain a unified, resilient, and impactful union. Let’s move forward together, advocating for the rights and interests of every member!

Tanyiea Pople - Schools

I have been employed with the Department of Education for 30 years as a School Learning Support Officer, working with students in both Support Units and Mainstream settings. This experience has given me deep insight into the diverse challenges faced daily by school communities. As a passionate and proactive PSA delegate for 25 years, I serve on Central Council, Women’s Council, the Schools Departmental Committee, and the Special Education Working Group. These roles allow me to advocate for all members, particularly those in schools, during regular consultative meetings with the Department. I also manage the PSA NSW SLSO Facebook page, supporting over 3,500 members.Since 2016, the Rank and File (R&F) team’s vision and leadership have strengthened the PSA, advocating for members’ workplace rights, pay, and conditions while providing vital support services. The R&F team remains committed to ensuring fair representation and building a resilient union.I am proud to stand with the R&F team in the 2025 PSA election and urge you to Vote 1 for Rank and File, ensuring continued advocacy for all Public Sector members. Together, we will maintain a strong, supportive, and effective union!

Trina Leask  - Services NSW

I am a Team Leader with Service NSW (SNSW) in the Newcastle Contact Centre and have been working closely with the PSA as SNSW prepares to implement a Restructure Management Plan over the next 12 months due to budget cuts.

This process has significantly impacted our regional members, with SNSW designating Sydney as their “headquarters” for landing days. This means some members face long commutes, spending hours traveling to and from home each week. However, through strong negotiations with SNSW, we secured a positive outcome for one of our members—a success I’m particularly proud of.

Collaborating with the PSA on issues like these has been incredibly rewarding, and it’s inspired me to actively recruit more members in my workplace. I’ve been a proud union member for over 12 years, and I’m passionate about standing up for my colleagues. Since 2016, Stewart Little and the Rank & File team have been fighting for us, delivering real results. That’s why this year, I’m proud to stand as a candidate for Delegate on the PSA’s Central Council as part of the Rank & File team.

I ask for your support—please Vote 1 Rank & File in this year’s PSA election. Together, we can make a difference!

Glenn.jpg

Glenn Elliott-Rudder - NSW Sheriffs Office

I’ve been a PSA member since 1998, when I joined the public service. I’m a Sheriff’s Officer at Wagga Wagga Court House, a role I’ve held for nearly 10 years. I’ve also worked with Community Corrections and Juvenile Justice. As a PSA Delegate for the Sheriff’s Office Vocational Advisory Branch, I served as Secretary and helped lead the 2024 campaign for better pay. Together with other delegates, I organized rolling industrial actions and a 24-hour strike that shut down courthouses across NSW. I’ve greatly valued the support and guidance from the PSA’s industrial staff, as well as the leadership of Nicole Jess, Stewart Little, and Troy Wright. Their professionalism and wealth of experience ensure that our union fights tirelessly for fairness across the public sector. Under the strong leadership of the Rank & File team and the PSA Executive, I believe we can successfully tackle the challenges ahead. The Rank & File is committed to protecting your rights, advocating for fair pay and conditions, and promoting the important work we do serving the people of NSW. I’m running for Central Council and urge you to Vote 1 for the Rank & File team to keep our union strong.

Suzanne Evans photoshop expanded.jpg

Suzanne Evans - Youth Justice

Born on the anniversary of the Eureka Stockade, I was raised by unionists to be a unionist. I wish to continue with the tradition of not only protecting but also improving the conditions of our fellow workers. This is a mantra that reflects the values of the PSA’s Rank & File team, of which I’m proud to be a member. I have worked for Youth Justice for 16 years and have been an active Delegate for 11 of these years. As Chair of the Youth Justice Departmental Committee, I have championed numerous causes to improve the working conditions of our frontline, community and auxiliary staff. As a Central Councillor I have been a voice for regional members, unheard voices and for unity and inclusiveness. Your support will allow my Rank & File colleagues and I to continue to grow our union in strength and unity. Please vote No 1 Rank & File.

Emma Pearce.jpg

Emma Pearce - Walbundrie Public School

I have worked for the Department of Education since 2012, as a School Learning Support Officer, School Administration Officer and now a School Administrative Manager. I have been a member of the PSA from my very first day in schools and am the Chairperson of the Pride Council, an active delegate on the Schools Departmental Committee and the Admin Working Group.  I have been lucky enough to see first hand the amazing work the Rank & File leadership has done for schools specifically and our wider membership across the Public Sector. My role as a union delegate has strengthened and fortified my unwavering belief in the need for strong advocacy for each and every member. The vision the Rank & File leadership has for a strong, robust and empowered union can only happen under the right leadership. I am deeply honoured to be part of that team in this year’s PSA election. Vote 1 Rank and File.

Darren King 2021.jpg

Darren King - Corrective Services NSW - POVB

I’m asking all PSA members to vote for me and the Rank & File team in the upcoming PSA election. Over the past four years, I’ve been proud to help grow our union to over 40,000 members.
As a member of the Central Council, I’ve contributed to the Finance and Audit Committee, ensuring the PSA remains financially healthy, and the Provident Fund Committee, which ensures timely payments to members' families.
I’ve spent 25 years as a Senior Correctional Officer with Corrective Services NSW, and over 23 years in various leadership roles within my local sub-branch in Lithgow. For 18 years, I’ve served on the Prison Officers Vocational Branch Executive, currently as one of the Country Vice Chairpersons. My commitment to the union and Correctional Officers is unwavering. I’m dedicated to ensuring safe workplaces, fair treatment, and the protection of our members' rights and conditions.
Please Vote 1 for the Rank & File team to continue our hard work and ensure the continued growth and strength of our union.

Bernadette.jpg

Bernadette McMahon - Homes NSW

I work for Homes NSW and spend each day working with the homeless and their support services. I joined the PSA on my first day at work, fifteen years ago, and soon became a union delegate. I am currently Chair of the PSA’s Housing Departmental Committee. I am a Health and Safety Rep and a strong advocate for workers’ health and safety in my district, recently with the closure of the Gateway building due to excessive mould and then the roll-on affect with all Central Coast DCJ offices being closed. I am very grateful for the hearty support my colleagues in Housing and I have received in recent years from the PSA. Stewart Little and the Rank & File team have turned our union into a strong organisation that doesn’t step back when members’ interests are threatened. Housing delegates and I have received great support including assistance with a range of other workplace issues including the protection of flexible working hours, bullying, workers’ compensation and disciplinary matters. As a member of the PSA’s Rank & File team, I am very pleased to nominate as a Delegate to Central Council and hope you will support me. Vote 1 Rank & File.

Lynette Clarke.jpg

Lyn Clarke - Iluka Public School

I have an incredibly strong commitment to supporting and advancing the rights of my colleagues in the workplace, particularly through the union movement. My experience as a School Administrative Manager at Iluka Public School and other schools, and my commitment to the PSA attending Women's Council as part of the executive committee, Schools Delegate Committee and Central Council meetings over a past number of years highlights my dedication to improving working conditions in the Public Service in both metropolitan and regional areas. My passion for empowering my colleagues and advocating for better pay, representation, safe working conditions, addressing the work overload and fair treatment in the workplace is evident in my ongoing work with the PSA. Attending various meetings at the PSA has given me a broader understanding of industrial issues that the public service members encounter in their workplaces.  By actively listening to members' concerns and working to address systemic inequalities I am helping to create a more inclusive and equitable environment for all workers. I look forward to progressing our union values into the future to engender a fairer, more equitable workplace for all PSA members. Please Vote 1 Rank & File in this PSA election.

Brook Down .jpeg

Brook Down - TAFE NSW - Coffs Harbour Education Campus

As part of the Rank and File Team, I have been able to contribute as a Central Councillor to promoting a unified, strong and stable Union with strict governance and financial responsibility. Its been a productive last few years and now we have an opportunity to continue the growth of the Union and return to the force it once was. As an activist for the Union, I have been on the enterprise bargaining teams for TAFE and last year was the lead negotiator.  This secured at the time one of the highest public service wage increases in Australia.  Additionally, as a part of those negotiations, we were able to establish the Interest Based Consultation Committee facilitated by the Fairwork Commission.  This is an ongoing process so we still have much more work to do.

Sue Nichols.jpeg

Susan Nichols - Community Services NSW

I have been a Senior Child Protection Caseworker based in Ballina since 2006. I have worked for DCJ for 30 years, initially beginning my career as a Case Manager working in the disability sector in Sydney. I currently hold the position of Chairwoman of the Community Services
Departmental Committee. As a PSA delegate I’m passionate about children’s right to be safe and just as passionate about
worker’s rights. I support the PSA’s “Child Protection in Crisis Campaign” advocating for better pay, more caseworkers, reduced workloads and the return of foster care to government hands. This advocacy has highlighted caseworkers’ high workloads, poor working conditions and poor pay leading to an inability to retain staff. I have led several lunch time walkouts to support the PSA’s campaign, culminating in a half-day strike statewide. I urge you to Vote 1 for the PSA’s Rank & File team because it reflects my own sense of social justice, equity and recognition of workers’ rights. I’m proud of the work the PSA have already achieved in ensuring that child protection is a priority to the NSW government as it is to this community, and for that reason I choose to stand with them in solidarity.

Brad Stewart - RFS

As a PSA Delegate for the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) over the past six years, I’ve seen our members endure significant challenges—poorly implemented restructures, cost-cutting measures, and increasing workloads. The former NSW LNP government’s wage cap and subsequent wage freeze in 2020 added further strain, making it harder for our members to keep up with rising living costs. Yet, through it all, the PSA, led by Stewart Little, has stood firmly by our side. Their guidance, support, and fight in the Supreme Court against the RFS and their multiple breaches of the Industrial Relations Act have been instrumental in protecting our rights. Now, more than ever, we need strong leadership to guide us through the challenges ahead. That’s why I am proud to stand with the PSA Rank & File team. Over the past year, they have shown determination and unwavering commitment to our members. Having represented both the PSA and the RFS at Parliament House in Canberra, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of a leadership team that will fight for us. As we move forward, let’s stand together and Vote 1 Rank & File - the team for strong union and a bright future for us all.

Michael Petersen - NSW Police Radio Operations Group

I have worked with the NSWPF for the last 16 years as a Senior Communications Officer. Over the past 12months. I have worked with the Stewart Little and the Rank & File leadership team, developing strategic solutions to what is a unique, high-pressure work environment, requiring a deep understanding of human dynamics. My team of workplace delegates across NSW are creating supportive work environments for members, with a focus on fostering resilient teams, enabling them to ensure an effective, coordinated and compassionate responses to the public of NSW during critical situations, such as the Bondi Junction Stabbings, or major incidents and events such as bushfires and floods, while navigating short-staffing challenges and a particular focus on prioritising mental-health and well-being. Stewart Little and the Rank & File leadership team, are engaged and connected with their members! As a nominee for Central council, I stand alongside the Rank and File, advocating passionately for a FULLY STAFFED, FULLY RESOURCED, FULLY FUNDED NSW Public Service. Vote 1 - Stewart Little, Rank & File.

Andrea Cartwright - Community Services NSW

I have been a Child Protection Caseworker with Community Services since 2018. Prior to that, I worked as a Social Worker and Advocate. I have been a workplace delegate since joining Community Services, as I could see many inconsistencies and unfairness in how we work and the opportunities provided to some and not others. As a delegate I have been able support members in my district, by raising and resolving their issues both locally and at a state level, resulting in a change in work practices. I have been a Departmental Committee delegate since 2020. I remain heavily involved in the PSA’s campaign “Child Protection in Crisis” highlighting the need for changes pay, recruitment, retention and working conditions. With help from my fellow delegates and the PSA, we were able rally our district to increase membership and had an amazing turn out for the industrial action that has resulted in the establishment of a new Child Protection specific Award to reflect the work we actually do. I hope to be able to continue to support members in individual matters and to raise joint concerns to ensure positive change and culture within Community Services. Vote 1 Rank & File!

Joe Wright - Fisheries NSW

I have worked in Fisheries NSW for 15 years. I am currently in a team leader role for the NSW DPIRD Fisheries Compliance Unit, Far North Coast Zone. I am proud to be a union member and I am a vocal and committed member of the PSA Fisheries Officers Vocational Branch (FOVB) for which I am an elected delegate. Stewart Little’s Rank & File team have provided ongoing and amazing support to DPIRD Fisheries members and to all other public sector members represented by the PSA. I am proudly standing in this PSA Election with Stewart Little’s Rank & File team who continue to deliver amazing work to improve the rights, pay and conditions of NSW public servants. The important work of NSW Public Sector employees, is strengthened by a strong, professional and determined Union which has the courage to stand up for the rights of workers. This is exactly what we have in the current leadership of the PSA – a strong and united team standing up for members’ rights. Please vote No 1 Rank & File.

Lachlan Mercer - Transport for NSW

I began my public service career with the NSW Maritime Authority in 2004, staying through its transitions into Roads and Maritime and then Transport for NSW. Starting on the frontline at the Maritime Infoline and customer service counters, I gained firsthand experience in serving our community. Over the years, I’ve taken on roles in Corporate Planning, Ministerial Correspondence, Briefings, Departmental Liaison, and Project Communications. Today, I work to strengthen relationships with Local Councils, ensuring we collaborate effectively to deliver better outcomes for the public. I am incredibly proud to be a public servant and to have worked alongside dedicated colleagues who go above and beyond—especially in challenging times. Our integrity, pragmatism, and respect define us as professionals, and our union should reflect these values. The PSA’s Rank & File leadership ensures members have a strong voice during restructures and negotiations, always representing the majority’s interests with a practical, member-driven approach. As a PSA Delegate in TfNSW, I am seeking your support for a seat on the PSA’s Central Council. Vote 1 Rank & File for a union that stands up for its members and fights for fair, sensible, and effective representation!

Nicole Harding - SES

I work for the NSW State Emergency Service and have represented SES State Headquarters as a PSA Delegate for over 15 years. I understand the importance and real need to provide industrial support to our NSW SES members so we can better assist NSW communities in times of need. The NSW SES has faced many challenges over the last few years, as many state agencies have, including a restructure, cost cutting measures and increasing workloads. The PSA team, led by Stewart Little, and our SES delegates have been instrumental in offering sound advice, support and advocacy for our members. With ongoing uncertainty in the current economic environment and after a tumultuous last few years, I am proud to stand with the PSA Rank and File team to lead our union for the next 4 years. They have shown us - especially over the last year - resilience, determination and unwavering support for our members. I am committed to serving the PSA membership under Rank & File as Central Councillor as I have over the past four years. This is the leadership team we need for the future. Please vote #1 Rank & File.

Tiffany Bett - University of Wollongong

I am an Administrative Officer at the University of Wollongong (UOW) with over 12 years’ experience, currently working at UOW Shoalhaven Campus. Unionism is in my blood with teachers for parents and politics running in the family. I am passionate about making the world a better place, and I have a strong belief in collective power; working together we can achieve more and keep management accountable. I have been a union Delegate for the past 3 years and am serving my first term as the Vice-President of the CPSU-NSW University of Wollongong Branch. I actively bring member views and concerns to the table and I continue to raise awareness and union engagement on my campus. In 2023, I stepped in as a replacement delegate to the Enterprise Bargaining Team and helped negotiate a better deal for Professional Services Staff at UOW. I was recognised at PSA Women’s Conference for my contribution to the bargaining team.  Respect, service, collaboration, honesty, and investing in equity are my fundamental core values. I am always keen to get involved, learn new things, and stand up for what I believe in. To keep our union strong, Vote 1 Rank & File.

Amy Sowerby - Corrective Services NSW - Non Custodial - Psychologist

I have been a dedicated delegate, fighting for members' rights for over five years. I am also proud to serve on the Department Committee and the Psychologists' Advisory Group, where I advocate for the rights of psychologists across the NSW public service and contribute to the development of the new award.

I strongly believe in the union movement and the vital role our union, the PSA, plays in supporting its members at the highest level. Without members standing up and fighting for workplace rights, none of us would be where we are today. That's  why I'm putting my hand up and supporting Stewart Little's Rank and File Team. VOTE 1 for the Rank and File Team.

Tim Smith - National Heavy Vehicle Regulator

I work for the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) as a Safety Compliance Officer (SCO). I have been a PSA member for over 25 years. I was a founding member of the PSA Inspectors Advisory Group in 2006 and took over the role of Secretary in 2013. I am currently a PSA Central Councillor, Branch Councillor of the CPSU and a Provident Fund Trustee. I am currently representing NHVR CPSU ‘On Roads’ members in our first Enterprise Agreement negotiations and I also attend quarterly Joint Consultative Committee meetings with NHVR Senior Executives to address ongoing issues and represent union member matters. I am a PSA Rank & File member and have established an excellent working relationship with the PSA Executive and staff. I’m also incredibly proud to have given evidence representing the PSA at the Senate Select Committee on Stillbirth Research and Education. I attended the Australian Parliament with my wife Leanne (Chair of PSA Women’s Council) and PSA Assistant General Secretary Troy Wright in order to successfully change the Fair Work Act in relation to Stillbirth leave entitlements. I very much would like to continue to represent all members as a PSA Central Councillor. Please vote No 1 Rank & File.

Ben Owers - NPWS

I am a Ranger with the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) and Chair of the National Parks Vocational Branch of the PSA. For the past 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a PSA Delegate, working tirelessly to defend the rights of our members through numerous campaigns that have had a real impact.

In 2016, the PSA underwent a major shift in leadership when Stewart Little and the Rank & File team were elected to lead the union. Since then, NPWS members have received exceptional support, and despite the many challenges we continue to face, we have worked together with the PSA to protect our rights and advocate effectively on behalf of all members.

I have served on the Central Council since 2016 and have consistently seen the strength, commitment, and vision of Stewart Little and the Rank & File team. I firmly believe that they provide the best leadership for our union, and their experience and dedication to workers' rights are crucial as we move forward. We need a strong, experienced, and united voice to face the challenges ahead. That's why I'm supporting the Rank & File team and encourage you to vote #1 Rank & File in the 2025 PSA Election.

During this time, I have actively served as a delegate on the Schools Departmental Committee and the PSA Pride Committee, advocating for the rights and fair treatment of workers. I have seen the incredible work that Rank & File leadership has done—not just for schools, but across the entire Public Sector. Their commitment to securing fair pay, permanent jobs, and workplace equity has made a tangible difference in the lives of countless workers. As a union delegate, I have witnessed the power of strong advocacy and collective action. Every member deserves to be heard, especially during negotiations, and the PSA's  Rank & File leadership ensures that happens through a practical, member-driven approach. Now, as a PSA Delegate in Schools, I am seeking your support for a seat on the PSA's Central Council. I am committed to fighting for fair pay, job security, and strong representation for all members. Vote 1 Rank & File—because when we stand together, we win together!

I continue to work closely with the PSA to ensure a comprehensive understanding of our collective issues. The PSA and GAAG remain committed to improving our working conditions and pay. John Fenton - Aruma - Disability Sector

As a Disability Support Worker (DSW) these past 30 years, I have seen how important it is to be part of a strong and active group of union members. Those of us in the Disability Sector have faced some difficult times, not least the privatisation of all public disability services a few years ago by the former Liberal-National state government. Originally employed by the Department of Community Services (which became the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care – ADHC), I’m now employed by Aruma Disability Services. Whether in the public sector or private sector, Disability Workers still need and strong and active union.  As a local union Delegate, I advise and support my colleagues and as part of the Disability Sector Council I work with delegates from several disability service providers to share strategies on improving pay and working conditions for all PSA CPSU NSW members across the state. It is only through solidarity and an active union membership that we can continue improve our working lives. My Rank & File union colleagues and I pledge to continue to fight for the membership.  Please vote No 1 Rank & File in the PSA Election.

Julie Westcott - NSW Ministry of Health

I am an Executive Assistant in the Centre for Aboriginal Health within the Ministry of Health. A Public Servant and PSA member for almost 30 years, I am passionate about protecting members’ interests when dealing with numerous issues including job security, restructures and flexible working arrangements. My PSA colleagues and I are focused on fighting for fairness for all members. Since being elected in 2016, the PSA’s Rank and File team have turned our union around and have proved themselves to be a team that puts members’ best interests above all else. Our union is bigger and stronger and more willing to take on the government, and other employers, when they threaten to slash jobs, cut pay and weaken our rights at work. We have also seen for the first time in the history of our union ground breaking initiatives that have helped more members than ever before. Mental health programs, emergency ambulance cover, a bushfire relief fund, drug and alcohol counselling and assistance for members experiencing domestic violence. The PSA’s Rank and File team have been, and will continue to be, our best advocates. I encourage all PSA members to Vote No 1 Rank and File.

Daniel Hilaney - Community Services NSW

I am a Child Protection Caseworker in the Western Sydney & Nepean Blue Mountains Districts, based in Parramatta. I’ve been with DCJ for two years and serve as a delegate on the Community Services Departmental Committee. I joined the PSA because I believe in the power of solidarity to protect our rights and advocate for fair working conditions. The PSA gives us a collective voice to address issues like pay, workload, and safety. Through collective action, we’ve secured a separate Child Protection Award and an immediate pay increase for entry-level Caseworkers. PSA membership is crucial because it unites us in the face of management and policy-makers. Without the PSA’s collective power, achieving real change would be much harder. My message to non-members is that joining isn’t just about personal benefit—it’s about strengthening the workforce and improving conditions for all. I envision a future where Community Services is fully resourced, with more funding, staff, and training to meet the growing needs of our communities. Ultimately, I want a system where both workers and those we serve thrive. The PSA, led by the Rank & File team, offers the best chance to make this a reality. Vote 1 Rank & File.

Dave Freyer - Community Services NSW - COVB

A long-standing career in CSNSW since 1995 has shaped my journey to becoming a Senior Assistant Superintendent at Geoffrey Pearce Correctional Centre. Over the years, I have had the privilege of representing my colleagues as both a POVB and COVB representative, and since 2017, I have served as the COVB State Secretary. With more than two decades of experience, I bring unwavering dedication and commitment to advocating for the rights of our members in what can often be a demanding and complex work environment.
I ensure that every member's voice is heard, and their concerns are addressed. My focus is always to tackle issues with respect, professionalism, and confidentiality while fostering positive relationships and building trust with members and stakeholders.
The PSA, driven by the dedicated leadership of Stewart Little, Troy Wright, Nicole Jess, and the Rank & File team, has made significant strides in advancing members' rights and outcomes. As part of this dedicated team, I aim to continue this momentum by representing your best interests on the PSA's Central Council. I encourage all members to vote 1 Rank & File—a team committed to fighting for fair outcomes, strong representation, and a better future for all members.

Simon Gilbert - NSW Police Force Special Constables

I have been a proud member of the Public Service Association (PSA) since 2018, shortly after beginning my career in the NSW Public Sector as a Special Constable with the NSW Police Force. Over the past eight years, I have served in this role across various locations in Sydney and other parts of the state, and I am currently stationed at NSW Parliament House.
In 2022, I was honored to be approached to serve as a PSA Delegate and join the Special Constable Advisory Group. Over the past two years, I have worked collaboratively with fellow delegates to organize members and contribute to a significant Work Value Case aimed at modernizing the pay and conditions of Special Constables.
With the steadfast support of the PSA Industrial Team, the strategic leadership of Stewart Little and his team, and the campaign to remove the Public Sector Wages Cap, Special Constables achieved the most substantial pay increase in decades. This experience has reinforced my commitment to advocating for the rights and interests of our members and ensuring a fair and equitable workplace for all. Vote 1 for the Rank & File team to keep our union strong and powerful.

Sean Bremer - Mount Austin Public School

I have been a member of the PSA for 19 years. I am an Aboriginal Education Officer at Mount Austin Public School in Wagga Wagga. I have been a workplace delegate for 12½ years. I make a point of contacting every new potential member and telling them the benefits of being a member of the union. I have helped several members of SAS Staff be converted to become permanent. The PSA’s Rank & File team did an amazing job last year after negotiating an agreement with the Minn’s government to convert thousands of members into ongoing permanent roles. The Rank & File team have worked incredibly hard to bring the union back to a strong position. They focus on looking after members and are holding the government to account to their actions. The Rank & File team have helped move the union towards a brighter future. I was elected to the PSA’s Central Council in 2021 and have nominated again in the 2025 PSA Election as part of Stewart Little’s Rank & File Team and would very much appreciate your support. Please Vote Rank & File 1.

Jude Ritchie - Corrective Services NSW - POVB

I have been a Correctional Officer for 23 years. I have been a work place delegate, a Women’s counsellor and a regular vice for PSA central council. I am a passionate advocate for Women’s rights and getting better outcomes for older women in the workforce. I am interested in changing culture not only within the correctional environment but across all Public sectors.
If voted into the central council I commit to acting with the best interests of all public sector employees and I am also very interested in advocating for more disability services and housing for people in crisis.

Tom Pearce - Corrective Services NSW - Community Corrections

I am proud to stand as a candidate for Central Council in the upcoming election. Having joined the PSA after attending Brush Farm Academy in 2022, I have seen first-hand the challenges our members face in Community Corrections from Trainees to Management and the strength we have when we stand together. I am currently both a Workplace Delegate and a member of the Community Corrections Departmental Committee and have seen excellent results working together with my union colleagues.
As a dedicated union member, I have worked to advocate for safe workloads, safe working conditions, and policies that benefit all of us and I have built strong networks within the PSA and the Department and can advocate strongly for members.
If elected, I will continue to be a strong voice for transparency, accountability, and progress. My goal is to ensure that every member is heard and that our union remains a powerful force for positive change.
I would be honoured to have your support. Let’s build a stronger future together and with the Rank & File team under the leadership of Stewart Little, Troy Wright and Nicole Jess, I am confident we can uphold the values that matter most to our members. VOTE 1 Rank & File!

Nadia Graham - Community Services NSW

I began my career with DCJ in 2001 and joined the PSA shortly thereafter. As an active member, I proudly served as a delegate within Justice for several years, representing and supporting my colleagues with dedication and integrity.
In 2021, I returned to DCJ in Community Services and was elected as a Departmental Committee delegate in 2022. I take great pride in this role, working tirelessly to support and advocate for our members. My commitment to union activism has led to significant wins, including my work alongside Stewart Little and his team on the “Child Protection in Crisis” campaign. Together, we’ve achieved major wins for members, such as reclassification and securing a new award. Throughout my career in the public sector, I have consistently championed the rights of workers in the community services sector. I deeply respect and value the tireless and impactful work of my colleagues across this vital field, and I am honoured to stand with them as their representative.
For strong, experienced leadership that delivers real results, VOTE 1 Rank & File Team. Together, we can keep building on our successes and fighting for the rights of all members.

Cameron Kennedy - Corrective Services NSW - POVB

Throughout my 16-year career as a Senior Correctional Officer I have always been a Public Service Union member.  I currently work at Long Bay Correctional Centre, and I have mainly worked in the Immediate Response Team.  I strive to protect staff on a daily basis so they can be safe in the workplace, and I strive to maintain a safe environment for all.
I am currently the Chairperson of the Long Bay sub branch and I have recently been successful in being appointed to the Prison Officer Vocational Branch in the capacity of Assistant Secretary.  It has been an honour to represent all Prison Officers in this role.  I hope to be able to represent all Public Service Association members with the same determination, commitment, and passion. I’m running for Central Council and urge you to Vote 1 for the Rank & File team to keep our union strong.

Natalie Howes - Corrective Services NSW - COVB

I am Senior Assistant Superintendent at Long Bay Correctional Centre and have been employed by Corrective Services NSW since 2007. I was first elected as a local POVB Delegate in 2008 and shortly after that I was elected to the PSA’s Women’s Council. I was re-elected to the PSA’s Central Council in 2016 as a member of Stewart Little’s Rank & File team. I was also a member of the POVB state executive team for six years. This role gave me the opportunity to meet with members across the state and assist members with local issues and ongoing reforms. This was only possible because of the unwavering support I have had from the PSA leadership. PSA have also implemented better supports for members and have become a more inclusive and informative team. It is such an advantage to have a General Secretary and President who understands the unique issues that people working for CSNSW face. I am committed to represent all members to the best of my ability and urge you to vote No 1 Rank & File in the PSA Election. â€‹

Abegail Turingan - Parliament of NSW

I have been a PSA member since 2008, joining the NSW public service at the Department of Premier and Cabinet as a Correspondence Officer, and later as a Cabinet Officer. In June 2014, I moved to the Legislative Assembly in the NSW Parliament as a Committee Officer, and I’ve been a delegate and the secretary of the NSW Parliament House Workplace Group since 2020. I was instrumental in organising the Parliament departmental members' participation in the public sector industrial action in June 2022, contributed to the PSA submission to the Broderick Review, and have been an active participant in Parliament's JCC meetings. I support the Rank & File team’s leadership of the PSA because I believe significant change comes from the bottom up and it is clear that workplace delegates are given significant support by the current leadership. Everyday members are the eyes and ears in the workplace, identifying the small, everyday issues that, when combined, form part of the bigger picture. As a PSA delegate standing for Central Council, I don’t see myself as a sledgehammer delivering the maximum blow. Instead, I think of myself as a pebble, starting a ripple. Vote 1 Rank & File!
