Meet The Team

It has been my privilege to serve as your PSA General Secretary over the past eight years. Since 2016, the Rank & File team and I have proudly led our union through transformative milestones, including campaigning for a change of government.
As experienced campaigners, we’ve consistently delivered tangible results. 

Together, we’ve grown our union by thousands of members, amplifying our collective strength and improving working conditions across the board. This momentum has driven key wins: we eliminated the Wages Cap and reinstated the Industrial Relations Commission, giving us the power to fight for members and secure lasting, meaningful change.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our delegates, members and staff. With your tireless support, we’ve transformed the PSA into a strong, respected, and influential force—one that delivers real outcomes and leads the charge for positive change in workplaces across the state.

Our journey is far from over. The Rank & File team is more determined than ever to continue fighting for your rights and improving your working lives. Together, we will keep building a stronger, united union for all.

In 2021, I was honoured to become PSA President, following my service as Vice President since 2012 and Senior Vice President in 2016. Throughout these roles, my commitment to representing and fighting for our members has remained steadfast.

I am a Senior Correctional Officer with over 36 years of experience in Corrective Services and have proudly served as a delegate and chair with the Prison Officers’ Vocational Branch (POVB) for over 28 years.

Since 2016, the Rank & File team has worked tirelessly to rebuild our union into a powerful force, unafraid to stand up for what our members deserve. Through hard-fought campaigns, we’ve secured significant wins and earned the respect we’ve long deserved.

Over the past four years, we’ve focused on restoring and growing our union, and we continue to build on that momentum. The next four years will require even greater determination as we face new challenges. Together, we’ll demonstrate the full strength of our membership and fight against any injustice that comes our way.

Serving as PSA's Assistant General Secretary over the past eight years has been both an incredible privilege and a deeply rewarding experience. The past eight years have shown that when we campaign and fight for change, our members see real results. 

From securing pay increases, ceasing insecure employment, winning reclassifications and enterprise bargaining, these wins have delivered real benefits that make a difference in the lives of our membership.

Under Rank & File leadership, we've built the PSA into the strong, effective union our members deserve. Today, we are more powerful than ever, growing in numbers and leveraging our collective strength to raise your profile and emphasise the critical services you provide to our communities. But there is still work to be done. Protecting our members’ jobs and working conditions remains our top priority, and we are committed to continuing this fight. That's why I'm seeking your support to remain part of the leadership team driving our union forward.
